Want something you can carry in your purse that will keep you cool when you’re hot? Read my Jisulife handheld mini fan review.
I’ve been using this for two weeks now and it’s been wonderful.
Description
The JISULIFE fan is the perfect size for something portable that can help you battle hot flashes or the heat of the midday sun.
You charge it with a USB cord that you can attach to your laptop or insert into a power block and plug into a wall outlet.
When you unfold it, you can push the button once to turn the fan onto low or twice to run it on high.
Pink JISULIFE Mini Battery Fan
I like that it has two speeds and there is enough of a difference between the two that I could see using one at some times and running it on high at others.
The air flow is amazingly strong considering there are only two fan blades. We had to wait outside to get into a local pizza restaurant and decided to walk across the parking lot to another store while waiting.
Our table was ready when we got back but I was roasting from the walk and it didn’t help that the restaurant was hot inside, too. This little fan cooled me down right away.
Neither speed is super loud but both do produce some noise. It’s enough that I probably wouldn’t use this in a theater unless I was watching an action movie that had loud sound the entire time.
Otherwise, I think the sound could be enough to annoy the person sitting next to me. Fortunately, our theaters tend to overdo it on the AC so I’ve never felt I needed one there. (Plus, my hands would be too busy with popcorn to hold the fan, I would hope!)
If you press and hold the power button for a few extra seconds, it will activate the flashlight at the bottom.
I didn’t think I’d ever actually use the light because I have one on my phone that’s always with me but it’s actually come in handy a couple of times. One of those was when I dropped my phone and it went under the seat of my car at night.
The blades are made of a semi-pliable plastic and if you touch them with your finger while the fan is running it does not hurt which is a great safety feature – especially if you will be using this around children.

Pros
The JISULIFE is very easy to use, convenient, just the right size, and I like the safety blades.
It has a good run time, is rechargeable, can be used while its being charged, and its shape allows you to also stand it up on a desk or table and point it at you so that you don’t have to hold it.
Folded, it is 1.46″D x 1.57″W x 4.72″H which fits even in my micro purse with plenty of room to spare.
It’s comfortable to hold in my hand and the air flow is strong.
I got mine in pink which is more of a pale peachy color but I like it. It’s feminine without being childishly bright.
I think the fact that this one folds up is a huge benefit for adding to its longevity. This keeps the blades protected when the fan isn’t being used.
The exterior is hard plastic so as long as it’s folded I could shove this in my purse or backpack in a rush and not damage the important interior parts.
Cons
There is only one thing I don’t like about this fan and that is the way that you unfold it for use.
It has a little indent at the top where you insert your fingernail in order to pull the fan away from the case.
This will certainly periodically break my natural fingernails.
Once you have it pulled open enough, you can grab the sides and pull from there to get the fan unfolded the rest of the way.
I wish that it had rubberized, textured sides instead so you could open it only by the sides and didn’t need to risk a fingernail at all.
The one thing that really bugs me is that because I use a small purse and this has a button that activates the light, I have opened my purse several times to find the light has been turned on only because there’s so much stuff pressing against the fan at all times. This won’t be an issue for larger purses or those who don’t cram there’s full of stuff.
Attaching the JISULIFE Mini Fan Wrist Strap
The JISULIFE mini fan does come with a wrist strip but you have to secure it to the device yourself.
I could see using this if I were taking it with me for walks around a park or the beach where I’d want it with me but would not have pockets or my purse with me.
Attaching the strap, though, took a little creativity because you have to get the tiny thread at the end of the strap through two small holes in the end of the fan’s case.
I ended up using a yarn needle to help. I threaded it with yarn and tied the ends of the yarn around the small thread.
I was then able to put the needle through the first hole and pull it and the yarn through to get the thread through.
I then put the needle through the 2nd hole and then through the loop of the thread sticking out of the first hole.
I pulled the needle tight to secure the loop and then cut off the yarn that was tied to the thread.
JISULIFE Mini Fan Price
This is where things get interesting.
I bought mine on Amazon and am fine with the price I paid.
However, I found it’s being sold by multiple different sellers and the prices vary.
Not only that, the JISULIFE is actually a small fan you can buy direct from the manufacturer on Alibaba for a third of the price if you wanted to buy it in bulk.
That’s why it’s sold under several Amazon listings and they might all be slightly different from each other.
For instance, the one I have has these little points at the top that look like they could be cat ears but there are no decals that indicate a face.
If you keep looking, though, there’s a listing where there is a cat face but these are the same fan.
No matter which listing you purchase through, this fan is made in China and you’ll find it with a variety of prices.
Summary
I’ve had my pink JISULIFE battery fan for two weeks now and used it at least every other day since.
I love it and do not regret my purchase. In fact, I bought a white one for my mother. She wears a wig which can make her extra warm and uncomfortable in the summers and I think she’ll find this useful.
I think it’s well priced and a good buy.
