Personal fans are widely available these days and they’re being used to make lives more comfortable in many ways.
I initially purchased mine to help with hot flashes and for any time I had to spend outside during the summers here in Phoenix.
However, while researching them, I came across lots of other ways in which people are putting them to good use.
Following are some of those examples:
- To stay cool during a heat wave
- To have on hand in case of a power outage during the summer
- To give to the homeless in the summer
- To dry makeup and skin creams to speed up the process of getting ready to go out
- To keep children cool while running errands
- For menopause/hot flash relief
- To blow away second-hand smoke
- For travel/vacation to hot or humid destinations
- For relief during chemical peels
- To stay cool while standing in line at theme parks like Disney
- To cool hot food, especially for children
- For providing comfort during child birth
- To stay cool during meetings
- To stay cool during plane rides (remember that time people were stuck on the runway for hours??)
- To blow out birthday candles
- To stay cool in church
- For use during outdoor events for kids such as Scouts or softball practice
- To stay cool during outdoor sporting events such as baseball or football games
- To dry eyelash extensions
- For cooling heat-activated resin or powder when doing fingernails
- For drying glues and paints when working on DIY projects and crafts
- To cool down while hiking, camping, or fishing
- To provide some cool air while working out on a treadmill, elliptical or stair climber
- To dry nail polish more quickly
- To stay cool while working an outdoor booth at a school event
- To keep hands moisture-free while performing delicate work
- Provide relief from the sun while roofing or doing construction work
I’m betting most people buy a mini fan for just one of those reasons and then realize that they could also use it for a few of those other uses on the list.
If you want to choose a style and shape that will work best for you, review the list first.
Identify the different examples on the list that would apply to your lifestyle.
Then, keep those situations in mind when you browse available styles and select one that will work for all of the ways in which you might use your own personal fan.
